Planning

We develop strategies and plans in natural resource management for the region.

A primary responsibility of the Authority under the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994 is the development and implementation of the Regional Catchment Strategy and supporting plans.

The East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority is currently managing a project to review the 2003 Gippsland Lakes Ramsar Site Management Plan. Further information can be found on the Gippsland Lakes E-Engagement (GLEE) web site. A copy of the 2003 Management Plan and related documents are also available on this site.

The East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority has now released the East Gippsland Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Plan.
