Gippsland Lakes Flood Level Modelling Final Report

This project presented a new method for estimating "exceedence probabilities" for flood levels in estuaries and coastal lagoons, using the Gippsland Lakes as a case study.

Inundation of estuary fringes is a complex problem resulting from the interaction between river flows, tidal and sea level effects and, if the estuary is large, local wind-effects within the estuary itself.

The report also provides background information related to flood levels for the Gippsland Lakes.
